What Is Your Life’s Purpose?

by johnlazy on November 20, 2008

Do you ask yourself what is your purpose in life? Why your here on earth and what is the sole reason of your existence? Is it an accident? Or you are meant to be here to make a difference.

When you ask people on what is their purpose in life or purpose here on earth, they all have different answer to it. Some say they are born to be soldiers and they are assigned to be a peace keeper here on earth. And others to be an engineer to build, a teacher to teach, a doctor to cure, a nurse to assist the doctor, an artist to show creativity in the world, a preacher to preach, and a lot more of different profession in different fields of specialty.

But one thing I mostly observe that they have in common and most people want to achieve in their life to get that sole purpose. They want to make a difference in this world. The common purpose in life that everybody shared is to help other people, to bring happiness on people and on the world, to show our true talents to people and our passion, and to promote consciousness and awareness to the whole universe.

We all shared that belief system, But my question is, is that all we are here for? We achieve we help other people and then we can say, our life’s purpose has been completed. Is there any other way we can achieve our purpose?

Let’s say you’re a doctor, so you help people right, you cure people’s disease, you give medicine to better their whole being and see to it that every human being can live as soon as medical perspective goes. You’re happy doing that and it feels right and you felt like you’re in bliss all the time every time you can help people. And you know that is your sole purpose in life.

Is your life’s purpose end there? Is contentment in what you do say it all? Or Are you willing to seek more? Maybe some say through spirituality that they can attain that purpose. I’m asking this question all my life since I am in the age of reason. Maybe there’s something more in life than those mention above, that work, money, happiness, contentment, and spirituality cannot bring. Or Am I just methodical about life. Just too deep for my own good.

Did you found already your purpose in life? What is it? Are you happy or contented?

We are light beings on this planet learning to be human. We have karma from past lives to take care of and we will keep coming back again and again until it’s done. What ever we choose to do in this live is already decided before we incarnate back to this planet. We basically are here to learn.

Now a pretty fit 58 year old-I see life so differently to when I was in my 20’s-Let me explain-Sex and rock and roll was all that controlled my mind when I was 20yrs old-by 30 I had two children and battled to pay bills and live-by 40 I was divorced and looking for the edge in life to be happy-By 50 the body is still ok minus the aches and pains-Sex has changed to rather have a good feed as it only brought me grief with lots of affairs after my divorce-Now today-FREEDOM-within my mind-I love Dogs,Painting, and listening to people-that has been the most inportant eureka! I have learnt-When you can get to the stage of keeping your mouth shut and listen and not the reply by “I do this,I think this etc” then a new world opens—-To explain–with this down turn in this world I will have to work until I die(Like many people) but even at my age when you can listen to especially younger people you can see a place still left for us old farts!—-
With this knowledge I build blogs of interest for me-and not only does it help people I also make a few dollars from the content I put in to the blogs or web sites—TO END-FREEDOM WITH IN YOURSELF IS THE MOST INPORTANT THING IN LIFE-no one will die with you,you are in this world on your own even tho you meet many ships on the way-Love yourself first, then you can epreciate all humans, dogs, cats spiders, etc–
Hope have not bored you all-This is a great site-
Cya in maybe my next life here-shit do not really want to come back-where are those UFO’s-I will be the first to step on the space ship to ??????????????

As a Christian, I aim to live a life for Christ so that other people can see the glory of Jesus through me. I have been given talents and abilities and it’s only right to use its purpose to glorify the Lord by serving others, loving others and sharing the truth about God to others. Life is not about us, life is about Him.

Thanks for sharing that ma’am bingkee, We all believe in God except for the aethiest, and its up to us on how to glorify him. We all have different views in life and no matter what, go inline with the goodness rather than the evil deeds. take care ma’am!

I must admit, I was a bit late to discover what I feel about my purpose in life. But I became vocal about it, and you can see more of them on my About Me page.

But to give an idea, I am an Engineer and worked as one for more than 15 years. But due to dark childhood, I cannot escape my passion about family.

I just hope I am not really that late. Thanks!
