Recognize and Accept Peoples Talent and Abilities

by johnlazy on November 6, 2008

Every people born on this earth are unique in his own way. She/he has the ability to contribute something on this world. The purpose assigned to each individual for the cause and the talent he/she can share will enlightened the hope of not only changing the image of self but also help in bringing productiveness to others.

That’s why I’m happy for those people who unleash their talents and show the world that they can communicate with people through their abilities. They convey their message loud and clear that if a talent is used in a right manner it will surely benefit not only the person who has that, but also people who believe in it.

But sometimes not all talents and abilities will materialize. There can be a wasted talent not because there’s a lack of potential or lack of skill but there’s no chance to reveal it. Well, there could be a lot of reason behind it, and I’m in no place to pass judgment into it.

Every person, whatever your race, whatever nationality you’re in, whatever languages you spoken, every human being has that ability and talent to offer. You can be good in music, arts, architecture, entertainment, social activities, literature, and lot of other talents both usual and unusual that can create a massive impact in personal lives of people physically, emotionally and logically.

We have to learn to recognize and accept every individual’s strength and the capacity to give us undeniably great flair. If people are good in music then we have to recognize it and admire the person, but sometimes we tend to ignore them and brand any sort of names just to cover the jealousy and selfishness of our heart.

Why is that happened? Because we can’t accept that somebody is much better and much adorable than us. We don’t agree to admit that his/her talent is best enough to convince ourselves of our own talent. This is true especially if you felt more superior to the other. Your egoistic self can’t acknowledge that somebody is more talented than you are.

It is true also in accepting other people’s abilities. Example of this: the ability of people to communicate with other people. Some people was born with this charisma in their personalities, I don’t know if you agree in born abilities or developed abilities but whatever your belief is, one thing is for sure, they got it! They can easily talk to people and be friends with them; they call it public relations, the ability to relate with the public. Sometimes we misunderstood them to be arrogant, self-important, and full of them. But the thing we don’t know is they had developed that kind of ability. It takes a lot of character to the person to do such kind of act because anybody just doesn’t have it. Instead of being envious with them why not try to appreciate the kind of person and the abilities they can bring to the table.

The world would be a better place if we just recognize and accept people for who they are. The talents and abilities they’re willing to share, applaud them for that. We all have something to offer to the world if we just stopped criticizing people and instead delivering on what we can do best. You and I are different individuals but we have something in common, we have this conviction in ourselves that if we use it correctly we can help to better the world by showing and sharing our talents.

As Edward Everett Hale said; “I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something. And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something I can do”.

If somebody show their talents, give them a round of applause or better give them a standing ovation. Show your best appreciation to all individual even if they are trying hard. Because you can’t really test the hardness of the steel if you can’t melt it with fire.

So are you with me on this? What you think?
