What do we mean really when we say we should live our lives in practical way? That does mean practical with money, relationship, in dealing with people, in buying things, in love, etc. Is this the safest way to go in anything with life because we’re looking for the secure one? Is practicality means more or less, Simple or Complicated, Easy or hard.
I often heard that practicality lead you to a better life, better future, much better possessions, simple but worthwhile things and other advantageous statement, giving the Practical word the advantage of great choice.
Let’s sight an example on basic idea of choosing things, much cheaper much better because we’re practical right. We tend to favor more low priced commodities than the most expensive one because of practicality. Well there’s nothing wrong with it because we want to save money. But you must also consider its quality.
How about practicality in love? They frequently say choose the one that can give you better future. The one that can give you a nice house, nice car, all material things money can buy and of course someone with a lot of money, someone that can give you a lot of these that you never have to work. This is not only applicable to women but also men if they want a good future ahead of them. But as I say there’s nothing wrong with it. Just bear in mind the quality of love.
Relationship practicality, what is your take on this? They say that you should be practical in a relationship. How is that? Is this the thing that if you can’t handle it just let it go or patience is the key to keep going? We all have different interpretation in the practicality of relationship. But don’t forget the quality of a relationship.
In money matters, they say save and save until you die or don’t buy more than you can chew. You have to be practical with money as they always preach, buy only the most important one, forget the unnecessary one. But don’t overlook the quality of life where you should also be enjoying.
You should be practical with people, what! Practical in what sense! If you don’t like them dump them or we should keep them because we need them. So what’s the better way to be practical with people? Don’t fail to recognize the quality of people that surrounding you because they will still be the one who will be standing before you if push comes to shove.
We can be practical in any way we want, to save, to make a better change, to have a better future, to deal with better circumstances and all advantage we can think of. But don’t set aside that practical would not exist if we have a quality of unpractical solutions.

john, I have learned early in life that love can be learned. As a young boy, one time, my mother help a runaway girl ho escape from her disastrous relationship. She had two daughter that she left in her province.My mother help her find a decent job and let her live in our house. She is a very charming lady. There were a lot of people that courted her. One of them is man almost twice her age.She call him “mukhang unggoy”,but very serious in his intention and have the luxury in life he could give her.My mother advice her to choose and use her head. To make this story short, they live as husband and wife. He gave her everything. Have her daughter finished their studies up to college. They did have another child. And when one time I joked her where is her “mukhang unggoy’ husband? She got mad and told me that her husband is actually very pogi from the heart.Love is a many splendor thing and it can be learned to love somebody who loves you more.

Sometimes being practical is not good. One should have wisdom to discern how to live a life that has a purpose for others. Being practical most oftentimes equate with selfishness. It’s self-serving because living practically only serves your own purpose and not for others. WE don’t live a life here just to take up space and race against survival. We need others to accomplish our goals and we need to help others to accomplish theirs.
