I’m just curious on how an emo loved and what really is the true meaning of emo love? Is this really a deep feeling of something you can’t dig or understand unless you are the one who’s experiencing it? Or is this feeling can be studied or just pop out in your emotional soul?
According to Urban Dictionary, Emo love is when both emo girl and emo boy think that there loving relationship will last forever and think that the foundation of their relationship will never break.
It is said that emo love is different from the normal dating scene because of the emotional quality of the relationship and the characteristics of the emo personality. Emo’s thought to be very emotional and wear their emotions close to the surface.
Emo personalities have a reputation for being shy, sensitive, introverted and quiet. A controversial aspect of the stereotypical emo personality profile is a propensity for cutting, burning or self mutilation. I know this is not true but it is something to be aware of.
That being said, Emo is a state of love where emotional ramblings took place. For others it may sound complicated than the true meaning itself. Example of this, If I am being emotional with love do you consider me an emo lover? If I write poems a lot do I consider myself emo? If I love the girl so much I will do anything for her, Is that an emo? Or some may say it’s a lifestyle and the way you dress. So if that’s the case if I wear black shirts and baton pants and a vans shoe, you consider me an emo?
I know emo love is not a bad thing; people just misunderstood the meaning of emo love because of misconceptions about the true nature of emo. But you can’t blame people to think that way because most of the suicidal cases have an emo part of it.
For me, Emo love is an expression like every normal relationship had. The good thing about it is they show love in distinct way, like making poems, making songs etc. They present their love in a new dimension, expressing their emotions wholeheartedly it maybe good or bad, but who are we to judge them. Every individual has its own way to display whatever good intentions they had. Love is a self made expression that everybody should take advantage of, if you love someone then show it in your own way. It could be shown in an emo, rocker, or whatever way, the important thing is, it is your way and not someone’s way.
So, do you consider yourself emo? Me! in my own way, yes.
