Did you ever dare to be unique? Meaning you has this strong will to say your piece opposing everybody’s opinion and willing to stand up for it, or have the guts to be different in the crowd not minding whatever criticism they throw on you.
This is not easy to do, I am too having difficulty on this but I am trying my best to overturn my mentality. I’m learning on it step by step right now.
Being unique is not simple because people and society is mostly your best criticizer. They will brand you such name and even compare you to an animal. The worst part is they will set aside you and downgrading your whole person. That’s why it’s hard to be different nowadays. But I highly admired those people who dared to be distinct from others; In the first place we are all born unique and sole carrier of our own self. Even though people are laughing at them or don’t regard their abilities, they don’t actually care, and continue their life journey on what they believe is right.
I remember when I was in my college days; I do some stuff that surprised people. I will cut my own hair, even though sometimes my hair is not that leveled and my classmates would notice it, branding me some name or whatever negative comments comes out to their mouth, I would just smile about it and congratulating myself because I’ve done something unique that my classmate would not even dare to do.
Another is, messing my hair, growing long beard, and all experiment that comes to my mind that change my look. I even do some different look on my outfits, sometimes I can be a rocker, hip hopper, a casual guy, or have some rugged look. These are some of my experiments in my college years daring to be unique. Some people would not understand me; I understand that, because as what saying goes, “you can’t please everybody. I just dared to be unique, not all people can do that because they are thinking what people and society would say to them if they do such kind of stuff. They are afraid to show the real them, that’s why they are contented to be a follower and not to be a leader.
To be a unique is not only through physical changes it will also be applied in certain situations, like in group discussions, assembly and the sort. Do you ever held back your opinion a lot of times because it’s unpopular to the group? Or you can’t say what you want to say because you’re afraid your group will stare at you in unlike manner. That’s why, for you it’s better to listen and shut up your mouth if you don’t have something to say that agreeable to them.
Is this the kind of life you want to be? Having a no sense of identity because you already conform to typical means, where you are always the follower of somebody else’s life. I know you will say it’s easier said than done, but why not try it first! How can you say that it didn’t work if you will not try it, right! To know something you have to test it. And if you test it and you don’t like the results then you have to look for another thing to test until such time you will find the perfect uniqueness on you.
The simple idea on this is, you have to live your life on your own way, the way you want it. If people won’t agree with you, let them not. That is your life in the first place; do you ever want your life a second best of somebody else’s life? I hope not! So as the saying goes” Sail away from the safe harbor, Explore, Dream, Discover.
You only live once, so try to be unique and be the person of your own identity. It is okay to be different. Show it to the world and share the unique individual that you are. Push the limit of conventional way of living and enjoy yourself. Be confident you can do it.
So, do you dare to be unique? Do you still doubt? Don’t be, just do it!

What makes you different to the other is YOU..
SIMPLY being yourself!
Yap you are right godamn, but sometimes you can’t be yourself because you are afraid people will judge you for being you.

people around me may judge me, but who the hell are they to do that?hehe..
